Generative AI sucks and we don’t use it

AI doesn't write our stories or create our artwork. People do.

We believe in the importance of human creativity, culture, and connection. We believe LLM AI technology is illegally trained on the stolen work of writers, artists, photographers, and researchers. We believe AI data centers are an ecological disaster. We believe AI technology exists to further sow confusion and distrust in an exhausted populace for the purpose of further oligarchical control and exploitation.

As such, we are staunchly opposed to the use of generative AI in any writing or artwork on our pages. In fact, there’s a clause in our contributor agreements that forbids the use of generative AI in any submission.
